Set up ADX, Monday and Gold together

Treat the three EAs as three separate setups sharing one account budget. Different markets can broaden exposure, but do not guarantee diversification or lower losses.

Establish each setup separately

Read the current Market listing and retain the exact version and full preset. Match the broker instrument and documented signal timeframe; the table is a reference, not a guarantee for another broker or timeframe. Test one EA at a time before adding the others. Keep the complete setup record so a later risk-only export cannot silently replace missing strategy settings.

Set one shared account budget

Choose fixed reference or current balance consistently and assign a separate risk percentage to each EA. On a EUR 10,000 account, 1% for each of three planned stops starts at EUR 300 combined, not EUR 100. Use the calculator to examine allocations and loss scenarios, then check order sizes and free margin in MT5. A visually favorable combined curve is not proof that one account can execute the standalone tests unchanged.

Review the combined operation

Confirm the supported account model, distinct position identifiers where required and attribution of actual trades. Review overlapping positions, combined costs and joint losing periods. Keep synchronized exports rather than adding unrelated periods. Before changing versions or presets, save the old operating record and verify the new setup; do not increase risk merely to recover a losing month.

Checks to make before deciding

  • Fixed reference: budget = risk% x reference capital. At 1% of EUR 10,000 the initial sizing budget is EUR 100 per trade even after gains or losses.
  • Current balance: budget = risk% x balance at sizing time. Record that timestamp and how open positions, cash movements and new orders affect the basis used by the EA.
  • Fixed lots: record volume and the resulting stop risk for each trade. Equal lot sizes do not imply equal monetary risk when stop distances or tick values change.
  • Keep the account currency explicit in presets and captions. A reference of 10,000 USD is not automatically equivalent to 10,000 EUR; do not merely relabel monetary values.
  • Align all series to the common verified period and timezone. Preserve zero-activity periods but exclude genuinely unavailable data; document how many paired months remain.
  • Compute correlations from comparable periodic returns, not cumulative balance curves. Declare denominator, return convention, frequency and Pearson or alternative measure.
  • Show the full matrix plus rolling or subperiod estimates where the sample permits. A single long-period correlation can conceal periods when all strategies lost together.
  • Check shared currency, direction, session, volatility and broker exposure. Different EA names do not ensure different economic risk factors.
  • Compile the final sale source without errors and review warnings. Archive the exact compiler output and compare binary checksums with the version used in final testing.
  • Test netting and hedging only where claimed as supported. Examine opposite orders, partial fills, reversals and magic-number attribution under each relevant account model.
  • Restart with open positions and pending orders. Verify state recovery, no duplicate entry, correctly restored stops and safe handling of missing history or indicators.
  • Simulate connection loss, market closure and rejected trade requests. Check return codes and bounded retries; do not treat submission as confirmed execution.

FAQ

Must all three EAs use equal risk?

No. Equal percentages are a comparison baseline, not a personal allocation recommendation. Review combined exposure and the evidence for each setup.

Do different symbols remove shared risk?

No. Market regimes, broker conditions and simultaneous losses can affect all three. Review dependence and combined equity rather than relying on names alone.
